A bike you will love from the first ride. It`s the next generation electric bicycle from Ööbik Cycles. It combines the newest technology with timeless design and great rideability. In 2016 we will enter the Scandinavian and Western Europe`s markets and we aim to sell 250 bikes.

Ööbik Cycles is Estonian bicycle brand with a talented and motivated team. Being engineers and bike enthusiasts the strong drive to create ultimate city bicycles grew into founding Ööbik bikes. With extensive knowledge about bicycles and motorized vehicles we are determined to create the best possible symbiosis between the two worlds. Having grown from 3 founders to a 6 member team with additional knowledge in marketing and design we are confident in our ability to lead the way of modern electric bicycle innovation.

Ardo Kaurit

Founder

Ardo is former professional motocross racer. He took actively part of technical developments in the sport and has also graduated from TUT in Mechatronics. Thanks to specific experience, great work capacity , open mind and enthusiasm, he is best for developing frames and electronic part of the Ööbik. Ardo is also responsible for business administration.

Hannes Laar

Founder

Passionate cycle enthusiast with a lot of experience in bicycle mechanics and componentry. Currently studying civil engineering in TTÜ. Lifelong passion and 8 years at a bicycle workshop make him ideal to be responsible for bicycle design, components and assembly.

Rait Udumäe

Founder

Rait is an active entrepreneur, graduated Engineering in TTK and at the moment he is studying Electric Drives in TUT. He has good knowledge of CAD and CAM software. Rait is responsible for mechanical design, custom features and contact reach. Rait is hard-working, experienced engineer who has talent in designing.

Mathias Lindholm

Senior designer, brand developer

Mathias is a senior designer with extensevie experience in the fields of branding, typography, graphic design and user interface desig. For the past six years he’s worked in various positons at advertising agencies and for the past two years he’s worked at a leading Finish creative tech consultancy working with large companies as well as startups. Mathias is old friends with Hannes and has been on board since they started the company. He’s responsible for the brand identity and most of the design material.

Melissa Sepp

Media and advertising enthusiast

Media and advertising enthusiast with experiences in video production and advertising campaigns. Melissa is a Baltic Film and Media School graduate and has furthered her knowledge of film and media at Stockholm University. Recently, she entered the world of startups, where she’s working with user onboarding for web and mobile apps. Melissa helps Ööbik to produce audiovisual content, and to become a known brand in Estonia and elsewhere in Europe

Ott Ilves

Digital marketer

Ott is a digital marketer who loves helping small companies grow. He has worked in marketing in the tech scene, in banking and in fashion. Ott gained his degree in Management & Strategy in England and Sweden. Ott joined Ööbik in September 2015 and looks after the marketing side of business, making sure we nail our messaging and to our target audience.
