Lightweight road modules for pedestrians and bicyclists, integration with Smart Road elements.

PROBLEM

Plastic waste is collected, but instead of recycling, burned in Iru or Kunda. Road pavement is built from minerals and fossile fuels. Recycled plastic can be a valuable source for pavements and road base. The weatherproof material is longlasting.

SOLUTION

Different modular pavement blocks will be produced from recycled plastic. Onsite installation and removal of such factory-assembled blocks on/from almost every surface is simle and fast, without a need for minerals (sand, gravel, crushed stone) and oil products (bitum). Ditches are not needed either: the hollow structure acts as a drainage channel. Integration with different e-solutions (PV elements) is possible.
